I was running as fast as I posssibly could, ignoring any existing thing that was in the sorrounding area. As far I could tell, it would take Dusten and Brandon a while for them to catch to me. But I wouldn't, no, I couldn't bother with such intolerate thinking. My attention was set on the explosion that had just occured. The animals were all scattering away from the point, fearing for the cost of their lives, as was the nature of a common animal. I probably should have done the same thing and ran as far away as I could, until I reached the sandy beach on which I had arrived on this damn island.
Of course my sensei had taught me better than that. He had always said that no matter what, your conscience is telling you something, it can be both right and wrong. I had immediately understood what he meant by that when he had told me 11 years ago.
My mind was telling me that it could by a trap set up by the government, a randomn explosion set off by another person or animal. My heart was telling me that it could be by a very slim chance could be one of my friends that was put in the same situation as Brandon, Dusten, and myself. Which would have been a worthless thought, seeing as if it was one of my friends, then they would have been completely blown apart. Of course my counscience was telling me to do the most obvious thing, run.
I could already tell that I was to close to explosion point to run away and listen to my conscience, so I of course stuck to my path and I ran to the point. I listoned to mostly what my brain had to say and less to what my heart had told me. Either way, the votes were two to one. My brain and my heart against my conscience.
Majority rules...

It had tooken me approxiametely five minutes before I had fianlly reached the explosion point. Seeing as there was no need to focus all my attention on reaching the spot, a had released my focus and let it run wild on the sorrounding area that had been affected by the explosion.
Practicly the whole area had been damaged slightly. Obviously either the area in which the explosion took place was large and the explosion somewhere near the middle, or that the explosion had just happened far away from where I was standing. There was one horrific seen where as I had spotted the dead corpse of a male lion, spotted which many wounds most likely caused by the explosion. The trees and vegetation around the area was fairly damaged, but not to permanent extent.
Just a few yards away from where I was standing, I saw a wall of dust covering my vision of the area of the explosion. Although the smoke in front of me was of plenty, the was a fairly limited amount of smoke around me, at least enough to walk around and knowing what would be there if I were to step towards it.
Even though the smoke wall was enormous, it was slowly starting to spread apart. I was about to walk over to it when I had heard a voice, a very fimiliar voice, one I hadn't heard in two years. " Do you think that did it?" Adam had said to some other person that was accompaning him.
I guess my heart was right after all.
